Chloe Wood Garden Design

Chloe was given a tough brief: to make a small garden feel large; to create something low maintenance; and to select planting resilient to an excitable puppy. She came up with an imaginative and bold design that creates interest in all seasons, and is attractive both day and night. We were impressed with her attention to detail and her eye for interesting shapes and colours. She is extremely easy to work with, and was very patient. Her contractor was also highly skilled, hardworking and efficient. We are thrilled with the garden she and her team created for us.

We are very pleased to recommend Chloe Wood as a garden designer. Sh eimmediately understood the brief and came up with interesting planting ideas. However she is very amenable to changes and we had to limit some of her ideas due to budget constraints and suggested some alternative plants. The plants have all thrived and the area looks wonderful. We were extremely pleased with the landscaper that she recommended, Matthew Ellett and his team. It was altogether an excellent experience,and very professionally executed and it is agreat pleasure to work with Chloe.

My north facing, townhouse garden was rather neglected. Chloe listened carefully to my thoughts on the garden and was able to design and transform it to one that made the absolute most of its shape and aspect. Chloe was communicative, very organised and reliable, whilst careful to remember the initial budget and stick to it. Colleagues bought in to work with her were professional and friendly. Chloe was able to design and plant a very charmingly attractive garden that suited its surroundings and was also user friendly. I am delighted with it.

Garden design for town garden incorporating a large terrace area, path and circular lawn with planting plans. Chloe was very easy to work with coming up with original ideas whilst listening to and reflecting our preferences. An ideal designer if you have some of your own ideas too as working together as a client and designer worked extremely well. Chloe produced work conscientiously in a timely manner, meeting any deadlines agreed. She recommended two to three contractors for quotes and they all seemed very professional, The one selected to do the work was excellent with very high attention to detail. We are very pleased with the finished garden - it has transformed the space and how we enjoy the whole area. We are continuing to work with Chloe; now on a small formal garden at the front of the property. We are also going to use her recommended contractor again.

Chloe is highly professional and has excellent design skills. I worked with her over several years and she was always patient and flexible when I changed plans on a number of occasions. She has made a significant difference to the garden, it now appears double the size, yet is easy to maintain, with sympathetic planting and good all-round colour. Chloe is a professional and patient designer. She has produced a new design for the garden that has transformed a small grassy back yard into a peaceful tranquil garden. She magically managed to combine our desire for bright colours and wild corners through creative ideas that we could never have come up with ourselves. She was respectful of our need to keep to budget and managed to complete the whole project in the time frame we had requested. She also provided the design, drawings and identified and managed a contractor to build a wonderful pagoda by the canal. She did this in a small space in a way that makes the garden feel bigger now enabling us to use the area to sit out to eat and entertain. I often see tourists walking along the back of the house taking photos of our garden and it is all down to the talent and hard work of Chloe Wood. I could not recommend her more highly.

Chloe Wood completely redesigned our garden for us as the last step of a huge extension and refurb project on our North Oxford house. She listened to our (limited) ideas and came up with an excellent design which has really enhanced our family life and our enjoyment of the house and garden together. Chloe suggested a large patio area to the side and rear of the house with steps down to the lawn, surrounded by beautiful raised beds. We have ended up with a fantastic area for entertaining and even have room for a table tennis table! The lawn is an attractive, assymetrical shape and with shrubs and bulbs now well established in the borders is both low maintenance, an important part of the brief, and child friendly. We would highly recommend working with Chloe who suggested and then worked with the landscaper for us and who has continued a maintenance programme on the garden ever since it was completed.

A home renovation left our garden in a mess and gave us the opportunity to rethink the design completely. Chloe gave us excellent advice on designing a space that would work well for all the family, provide a sense of space and including plants and materials that would make a lovely garden but were not high maintenance! We also wanted something that fitted with our new extension in look, but had a strict budget. Chloe took full responsibility for the design. Our landscaper was then very impressed by her attention to detail and careful pricing. She consulted and advised us the planting and sourced high quality plants at a competitive price. The results were above expectations and have created a great space for us to be in all year round.
